Overview
Erie Basin Marina is seeking a hard-working and diligent seasonal Maintenance worker to keep our marina looking clean and beautiful. The ideal candidate will possess ambition, as well as a good sense of teamwork. This role does involve hands-on activities--solo or as a team.
Duties:
- Ensuring bathrooms are cleaned, and up to standards.
- Picking up litter.
- Landscaping--weed whacking, lawnmowing, weed-killing, etc.
- Basic plumping, electrical, carpeting, welding, wood working, etc.
- Boat movement/operation.
- Painting/staining.
- Dock repairs.
Requirements:
- Maintenance experience not required, but preferred.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Electrical, plumbing, landscaping, etc. experience preferred--but not required, as long as you're willing to learn.
- Able to be on your feet for 7 hours a day.
- Able to bend, crawl, climb, swim, and kneel.
- Working with hand tools.
- Boating experience is not required, but would be a plus.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation.
- Willing to help in other fields of the marina (dockhands, gas dock attendant, ship store).
- Working outside, rain or shine.
- Not afraid of water or heights.
- The want to learn new skills.
Job Type: Seasonal Full-time (April 1st to October 31st)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
