Debt Lawsuit Defense Paralegal

Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with the Debt Lawsuit Defense team to ensure all cases are worked properly from open to close
- Critical thinking for the next steps on a case within the parameters set by the firm and catered to the case's/client's needs
- Resolving cases through active negotiations with the Plaintiff's Attorney
- Monitoring Legal Assistant's work product
- Adhering to all deadlines for cases, including motions, trials, mediations, etc.
Qualifications
- Must have superb organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be knowledgeable of the TRCP
- Must have e-filing experience
- Must have civil litigation experience
- Experience with Justice of the Peace courts is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the FDCPA and FCRA is a plus!
