Key Qualifications:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in elementary settings
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and adaptability to schedule changes around IEP meetings
• Commitment to inclusive, student-led learning and proven classroom management skills

Role Overview:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to a class of 9-10 elementary students with mild to moderate needs, with a maximum class size cap of 14
• Maintain and update student IEPs, with approximately 9-10 IEPs over the course of the year
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to support student success
• Work Monday through Friday, 7:30am–2:30pm (occasional extended days for IEPs, primarily scheduled within standard hours)
• Support students’ school day (7:55am–2:00pm, M-TH; early release Fridays at 1:00pm), providing ongoing academic, social, and behavioral interventions
