Director of Operations

Position Overview: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this mission-critical role is responsible for leading operational strategy and execution to support the growth of a best-in-class steam turbine repair services business unit. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer demand, ensure high-quality repair standards, and drive operational excellence. The role requires strong leadership to foster a culture centered on safety, performance, and employee engagement, while achieving profitability and long-term growth objectives. Position Scope & Key Responsibilities: Participate in the development and execution of short- and long-term business strategies to expand steam turbine repair capabilities and market presence. Establish, track, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery across repair operations. Manage and oversee the annual operating budget, aligning resources with forecasted repair volumes and business goals. Partner with Engineering teams to ensure repair processes meet technical specifications, OEM standards, and customer quality requirements. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure efficient material flow, cost control, and operational scalability. Work closely with Safety and Human Resources to build and sustain a high-performing workforce culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead and deliver executive-level reporting on operational performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives. Develop and implement capital improvement plans to enhance repair capabilities, tooling, and facility capacity to support future growth. Establish workforce development initiatives, including training and skills development programs, to ensure long-term operational readiness. Support Commercial and Sales teams by providing technical expertise, participating in customer engagements, and helping shape service offerings and market strategies.
