Key Responsibilities For The Cost Accountant Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs, product costing, and manufacturing variances. Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and control processes. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end close activities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for plant operations. Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights and cost improvement recommendations. Support audits, management reporting, and special projects. Qualifications For The Cost Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. 5+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting exposure.
