Inside Sales Representative

Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for an Inside Sales Representative. Responsibilities Initiating sales, taking orders, anticipating and meeting customer needs. Managing assigned product portfolio, including selecting product vendors, purchasing, pricing, monitoring inventory, and promoting assigned products. Contacting customers regarding market fluctuations and trends. Initiating inquiries, sales, and promotions for product needs to customers. Coordinating and maximizing customer inventory. Communicating customer service requirements to the location's customer service representatives. Coordinating customer deliveries with shipping personnel. At some locations, performing freight/trucking specialist responsibilities. Contacting vendors as necessary regarding product-related questions or concerns. Assisting outside sales staff and product managers. Assisting in developing and executing marketing programs, promotions, and new product research. Providing leadership to sales support staff. Demonstrating strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience in a related job function. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of building products. Ability to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently or with teams or groups.
