The MRI Technologist will be responsible for a multitude of MRI exams, including Interventional MRI, and will be knowledgeable of and dedicated to MR safety. The employee will provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff with an emphasis on quality service and excellent patient care. The employee must be self‑motivated and demonstrate the ability to work as a team. Roles and Responsibilities Completes all steps involved with the exams including documentation of patient history, tech info, contrast info, and IV injection info, and scans paperwork packs into the system. Follows all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients. Consistently follows patient identification policy: labeling syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials. Follows all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (per sites worked). Demonstrates knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physicians' instructions. Assesses stock levels and enters stock/pantry orders in the computer system. Required Skills and Experience Education : Minimum of associate's degree in a radiologic sciences program. ARRT certification in MRI. Licensure : ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license. Must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection on or before completion of the introductory period. Experience : Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates are welcomed. Further Skills and Experience Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail are preferred. Good written and oral communication skills are preferred. Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/sit for long periods while performing MRI studies. Ability to push MRI equipment throughout the hospital for bedside testing. Location and Travel Requirements Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850. The position may also be scheduled to work at our Main, East, and/or Cortland campuses. Shift: Full‑time—Days/Evenings, Flex. Anticipated schedule 10 am–10:30 pm (3–12 hours). Rotating weekends and flexibility to take rotating call if required. Ability to flex according to patient and department needs. 0 %–5 % travel can be expected in this role. Pay Range Disclosure Standard rate of $31.25 to $50.48 per hour plus benefits.
