SummaryQualified candidates will be responsible for processing purchasing requisitions, creating purchase orders, alerting management when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIssue competitive bid requests to potential vendors and suppliers and review quotes while securing the most competitive bidsReviews and processes purchase requisitions and purchase orders, purchase order adjustments, and invoice reviewWorks closely with A/P as it relates to purchases and invoicingDevelops and assists with implementation of an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase ordersExecutes System data managementIdentifies, researches and resolves problems relating to purchasing issuesOwns purchasing metrics to drive positive changesWorks with the team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing productsAssist Supply Chain with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basisEstablish reliable lines of contact with management to ensure that all purchase orders are accurateJob RequirementsBA/BS in related fieldProficiency using ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Office products; strong computer skillsStrong understanding of Supply Chain conceptsDetail oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritizeStrong negotiating skillsMinimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills.Travel may be required (< 25%)Team playerAbility to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environmentWillingness to take initiative and the ability to operate independentlyPrevious buying experience strongly preferred, or the ability to demonstrate comparable knowledge and skillsTimes Microwave Systems is an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V.Shift: 1st ShiftType: Full TimeDepartment: Purchasing
