Job Description Veolia Water Tech has an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated EHS professional to join our team as the EPP (Engineering and Procurement Projects) and T&P (Technologies and Products) Fixed Facility EHS Leader. This position is a vital member of an interactive and supportive team responsible for providing comprehensive EHS leadership, guidance, support, and execution specifically for our fixed facility operations. The role requires a seasoned EHS professional with the expertise to identify and implement compliant, practical, cost-effective, and safe solutions that protect our employees, operations, and the environment. As the EHS leader for our fixed facilities, you will oversee critical safety aspects of production and equipment build processes, manage EHS compliance for wastewater treatment and neutralization systems, and develop essential protocols such as traffic management for facility operations. This position demands both technical proficiency and influential leadership capabilities. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and facility leadership teams to build and sustain a robust EHS culture throughout our fixed facility operations. Your responsibilities encompass conducting facility inspections, assisting in hazardous operations reviews, and driving continuous process improvement initiatives. Through coaching, collaboration, and hands‑on engagement with operations teams, vendors, and customers, you will help create an environment where EHS excellence, inclusion, and diversity are core values that support both our operational objectives and. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Science, or Technical field 10+ years EHS leadership experience with health and safety focus in manufacturing/production Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local EHS regulations Expertise in facility safety management, equipment build processes, and production operations Facility inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations Wastewater treatment and neutralization compliance Traffic management and facility layout safety Secondary containment systems for hazmat storage (EPA/OSHA compliance) HAZOP facilitation and process hazard identification GHS compliance (classification, labeling, SDS management) Environmental permitting (air quality, NPDES, stormwater) Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Knowledge of industrial hygiene, occupational health hazards, and emergency response planning Ability to develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies Soft Skills: Influential Leader: Drives EHS culture across operations, engineering, and facility leadership without direct authority Effective Communicator: Clearly conveys EHS requirements through excellent oral and written communication at all organizational levels Collaborative Partner: Builds strong cross‑functional relationships and actively participates in team initiatives Adaptable Professional: Manages multiple priorities with sound judgment in fast‑paced manufacturing environments Active Listener: Fosters open dialogue about safety concerns through considerate listening and professional communication Coach & Mentor: Develops teams and creates culture valuing EHS, inclusion, and diversity Proactive Problem Solver: Identifies and drives process improvements for facility operations Additional Information This position is a hybrid 30% travel Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $100,000-$135,000 (USD); 100,000-135,000 (CAD) annually.
