Our Urgent Care sites are equipped with point-of-care labs and plain radiographs interpreted by pediatric radiologists, ensuring you have the data you need for precise diagnosis. Procedural Mastery: Maintain and sharpen your procedural skillset, including abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and complex laceration repair. Your Role in Our Growth: As a Physician in our division, you will assess and treat acute injuries and illnesses, manage patient throughput, and foster strong collaborative relationships with our multidisciplinary staff and patient families. Schedule & Facilities: Urgent Care Coverage: 5 PMMidnight (M-F) and 10 AM8 PM (Weekends). Emergency Department: Variable shifts (Days/Evenings/Overnights) for hybrid roles. Location: Multiple locations across the Phoenix Metro area, one of the most vibrant and fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the U.S. Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Family Medicine. Current Arizona Medical License (or eligible to obtain). PALS Certification. A passion for clinical efficiency and superior patient experience. Position Duties Patient Care Services Provide patient care services for which he/she is clinically privileged, including but not limited to: Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basis Provide subspecialty consultations and follow-up. Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures Provide these services for urgent/ emergent care as necessary Strive to achieve the best patient and family centered care Support Hospital’s patient satisfaction goals as well as division’s specific targets Support and adhere to divisional patient safety and quality of care standards Practices Contemporary Evidence based medicine or latest experience based medicine Divisional Responsibilities Establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives (e.g. individual, division, hospital) Support the medical education programs and activities of the Division, including but not limited to: Provide direct supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals for the delivery of inpatient and outpatient services when applicable Conduct teaching rounds, lectures and conference for trainees Participate in the teaching and supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals assigned to the division Participate in the postgraduate continuing educational activities of the division Support the research endeavors of the division including the research initiatives by other members of the division Support programmatic growth of division Support satellite efforts of division when appropriate Professionalism Treat colleagues, Phoenix Children's employees and customers with courtesy, dignity and respect Promote safe, cooperative and professional health care environment Support Phoenix Children's mission, vision and values, including family centered care, excellence in clinical care, leadership, collaboration, and accountability Other activities Physician shall support the Division Chief in his/her role as liaison to the professional community and general public as requested by the Division Chief Physician may conduct teaching rounds or conferences outside of Phoenix Children's, particularly if these activities support divisional clinical and teaching programs/ initiatives. Physician shall represent Phoenix Children's in the medical and business communities and before the general public in a professional manner The following physical and mental skills are essential to the physician’s ability to successfully perform the foregoing duties and responsibilities: The ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices The ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed The ability to work regularly scheduled work hours Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
