Business Development Rep II (Community Business Development Rep) The role of a Business Development Rep II (aka Community Business Development Rep) emphasizes close collaboration with the Business Development Manager and other sales leaders. This position engages with centers of influence to obtain referrals and contributes to membership growth through local area and community‑based marketing. It involves strategic networking in a defined territory and requires some local travel for events. Additionally, the responsibilities include implementing top‑down initiatives, planning and executing community events, and working closely with the sales team to track lead conversion and ROI for activities. Work closely with career field representatives and external brokers to build relationships with key business leaders, community‑based organizations, and providers. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals established by management by transitioning leads to enrollments. Follow up with reps and brokers for lead data and track sales conversions; meet or exceed weekly and monthly qualified lead goals. Assist local market in meeting monthly sales goals; collaborate with direct sales teams for lead development and public‑facing presentations. Distribute approved marketing and event materials; coordinate with Corporate Marketing and Compliance for approval, development, and production of advertising. Plan, set up, attend and present at Quarterly New Member Orientations and year‑round education events (as needed, non‑virtual). Provide a monthly calendar of planned activities and submit a weekly activity summary report; minimum 20 events per month. Engage with provider marketing events, primary care physicians, and front offices; support enrollment events and promote assigned membership growth targets. Ensure all events, activities, communication, materials, media, and promotions meet brand, corporate guidelines, CMS rules, and regulations. Obtain payment approval for community events, communicate with vendors, and ensure compliance with high standards. Adhere to all sales operations processes and understand the product portfolio and eligibility guidelines for various election periods. Support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals and perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods; lift up to 30 pounds; willing to work some nights and weekends. Travel 50+% of the time in the assigned area with a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation. Qualifications Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience; preferred other combinations considered equivalent. 3‑5years of outside sales or outreach experience within the Medicare community (required). 3‑5years of experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) (required). Previous healthcare marketing and grassroots/community outreach experience (preferred). Experience in business/product network development and/or marketing experience (preferred). Understanding of health care markets—primarily Medicare and Medicare Advantage (preferred). Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred). Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy laws. Strong communication, public speaking, creative solutioning, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills. Demonstrated experience working in fast‑paced or implementation environments. Basic analytical and problem‑solving skills. Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation. Benefits Base pay: $71,700.00 – $102,520.00 annually. Robust wellness program.
