Staff Professional Services Operations Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Professional Services Operations Manager based in the United States.

This role helps build the operational foundation needed to scale and support a global Professional Services organization.
You will partner closely with leadership to improve planning, resource management, delivery operations, financial visibility, and go-to-market alignment.
The position combines strategic operations leadership with hands-on process, systems, and automation work.
You will connect pipeline, capacity, staffing, project economics, revenue, and delivery performance to give leaders clearer and more actionable insights.
The role also involves improving operational tooling, reporting, service offerings, pricing structures, and cross-functional processes.
Working across Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Analytics, and Delivery, you will help move operations toward more connected, scalable, and automated ways of working.

• Mature the Professional Services operating cadence, including forecasting and planning alignment, business reviews, performance reporting, and executive-level readouts.
• Establish connected capacity, utilization, and resource management practices across billable and non-billable teams, including skill-based staffing and hiring planning.
• Improve visibility into project economics by analyzing rate cards, fully loaded costs, burden rates, project margins, fixed-fee budgets, utilization, and revenue recognition.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, and Delivery teams to improve PSA, time-tracking, CRM, reporting, and related operational systems.
• Define business requirements and lead process improvements, automation initiatives, and efficiency programs across Professional Services and integrated services teams.
• Strengthen go-to-market alignment by tracking Professional Services attach, connecting services planning with account and renewal timelines, and enabling earlier involvement in deal strategy and account planning.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve service catalogs, pricing and packaging, SKU governance, and partner or channel delivery models.
• Document processes, clarify roles and decision rights, and collaborate with Analytics to develop self-service reporting that reduces operational dependencies on Professional Services leadership.
• Support broader services transformation and operational maturity initiatives, including the integration of organizations, operating models, or systems where required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Professional Services Operations, Services Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related function within a technology or subscription-based business.
• Deep understanding of Professional Services business models, including time-and-materials, fixed-fee, and blended engagements.
• Proven experience developing and owning forecasting and planning processes that connect sales pipeline with delivery capacity, staffing, bookings, and revenue.
• Experience with resource management, utilization, project margins, delivery operations, PSA platforms, or services go-to-market operations.
• Hands-on experience with Kantata or a comparable Professional Services Automation platform.
• Strong experience leading process and systems improvements within evolving organizations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into system workflows, data definitions, reporting requirements, and automation opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition processes and the systems collaboration required between Professional Services and Finance.
• Strong analytical capabilities, business judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Pragmatic and hands-on approach to solving ambiguous and complex operational challenges.
• Experience integrating services organizations, operating models, or systems, or driving broader operations transformation is an asset.
• Experience improving Professional Services attach, deal structuring, account planning, or services participation throughout the sales cycle is an asset.
• Experience with partner, channel, or customer-funded delivery models is an asset.
• Experience working successfully in a distributed or fully remote organization is an asset.
