Construction Accountant – Mechanical ContractorGrowing mechanical contractor in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Construction Accountant to join their team.ResponsibilitiesManage A/P, A/R, billing, and project accountingHandle job costing, WIP, and project financial reportingPrepare monthly AIA billings and review schedules of valuesProcess subcontractor and vendor invoicesTrack change orders, commitments, and project costsReconcile accounts and assist with month-end closeWork closely with Project Managers and management on project financialsAssist with certified payroll, lien waivers, and other construction documentationQualifications3+ years of construction accounting experienceMechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or MEP construction experience a plusStrong understanding of job costing and construction billingExperience with AIA billing and WIP reportingSage/Timberline or similar construction accounting software preferredStrong Excel and organizational skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesExcellent benefits and long-term opportunity.
