Your Role as a Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian

This position transcends traditional leadership; it offers a chance to establish and direct a veterinary practice with the robust support of a well-established network. As the Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian, you will be pivotal in launching the new Livewell Animal Hospital located in the affluent Western Main Line corridor of Philadelphia. Your responsibilities will include cultivating a premier medical culture, mentoring your staff, and steering the business towards success as a genuine owner, all while avoiding the usual financial burdens associated with starting from the ground up.

Situated within the esteemed 218-acre Ellis Preserve community, you will cater to a sophisticated clientele that anticipates top-tier, concierge-level care for their pets. Your practice will be strategically located in Delaware County's leading "Live-Work-Play" micro-downtown, in close proximity to high-end establishments such as Whole Foods Market, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, luxury residential complexes like Madison and The Harrison, as well as major corporate offices, ensuring exceptional daily foot traffic.

• Establish a Flourishing Practice Culture: You will create a client-centered, collaborative environment, setting the standard for boutique-level medical excellence and teamwork from the outset. In this prominent town center, you will craft a premium, stress-free experience that seamlessly fits into the daily lives of discerning pet owners in Newtown Square.
• Guide and Develop Your Medical Team: You will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and nurturing your associate veterinarians and support staff, cultivating a team that is skilled, efficient, engaged, and closely connected to the vibrant Main Line community.
• Ensure Medical and Surgical Excellence: You will establish and uphold the hospital's care standards, guaranteeing exceptional patient care while providing mentorship in general surgery and dentistry. You will have the autonomy and access to advanced resources to practice high-quality medicine in a spacious, state-of-the-art facility designed to align with your clinical vision.
• Engage in Business Ownership: Collaborating closely with your Hospital Manager, you will oversee the hospital's financial performance, making strategic choices that promote revenue growth and long-term success. By situating this hospital in a bustling, walkable regional hub, you will leverage upscale neighbors like La Colombe and boutique lifestyle centers to accelerate rapid practice expansion.

What You Will Contribute to the Team

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a valid license to practice.
• At least 4 years of veterinary experience, with a solid background in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• A compassionate and collaborative leadership approach, capable of mentoring and developing associate veterinarians and support staff.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong grasp of what it takes to operate a successful practice.
• Prior formal leadership or management experience is highly advantageous.
