Systems Support Specialist

Overview The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and oversees institutional strategic initiatives and operations across New Jersey, including planning, construction, facilities, public safety, environmental health, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks a Systems Support Specialist under the direction of the Manager, Space Management. The role is responsible for technical and specialized data management tasks associated with archiving, digitizing, and coding all University computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, bid documents, and as-built drawings in record management software, and will provide support to expand the use of Archibus space management software. Responsibilities Collect, review, analyze, and load capital and non-capital project bid documents, as-built drawings, and CAD files into project and drawing record management software. Code all files for archiving and retrieval. Provide backend data support and maintain Archibus software. Document and manage data associated with over 30 million square feet of owned and leased space on and off Rutgers campuses. Qualifications Minimum education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably working with AutoCAD and Revit. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Experience with CAD support and incident resolution, site measurement, and documentation. Computer literate with strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Capability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred qualifications: Experience with document scanning and large-scale plotters. Proficiency in standard office equipment, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD. Experience using eQuorum or similar archiving software. Certifications/License: Valid driver’s license required. Compensation Salary range for Grade 05: Minimum Salary $68,278.48; Mid Range Salary $84,393.98; Maximum Salary $100,509.48.
