Whether you're perfecting a classic recipe or suggesting a new menu item, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact on the people you serve every day.What You'll DoPrepare fresh, made-from-scratch meals with consistency, quality, and attention to detail.Plan and coordinate meal preparation to ensure food is ready on time and served at the proper temperature.Prepare ingredients.Prepare a variety of menus and meals using a variety of cooking techniques and experimenting with new recipes.Help keep our menu rotating and fresh by sharing ideas for specials and new recipes.Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.Monitor product quality, freshness, and temperatures.Receive, store, and rotate inventory following food safety standards.Work closely with the kitchen team to create an enjoyable dining experience for employees.Assist with kitchen cleanup and equipment maintenance at the end of each shift.What Makes You a Great FitYou genuinely enjoy meal preparation and take pride in your work.You pay attention to quality, consistency, and presentation.You're dependable, organized, and work well under pressure.You enjoy working as part of a team.You're always looking for ways to improve, whether that's a recipe, a process, or the guest experience.You understand that a clean, safe kitchen is just as important as great food.QualificationsPrevious cooking or food service experience is preferred.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.Why Gossner Foods?We're looking for more than someone who can follow a recipe-we're looking for someone who enjoys the craft of cooking.
