Nurse Aide Instructor - Part Time

Statement of Primary Purpose Provide instructional services to nurse aide students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. Classification Part-time faculty Essential Functions and Responsibilities Prepare and teach assigned courses in accordance with course outlines and published course schedule. Maintain accurate records for each course taught. Prepare, review, and update course outlines on a regular basis. Recommend and assist with curriculum revisions as necessary. Participate in curriculum advisory committee meetings, if applicable. Participate in college events and activities. Cooperate in scheduled student evaluations of instructor and course. Submit all college reports in an accurate timely fashion. Attend instructor and departmental meetings as scheduled. Be responsible for professional development and maintaining professional competence. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and others. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: REQUIRED: AAS in Nursing, Preferred: B.S.N. Minimum of two years (equaling 2000 hours) of nursing experience, AND at least one of the following: Completion of a course in teaching adults. Experience in teaching adults. Experience in supervising nurse aids. Physical Demands Must be able to use and demonstrate all Nurse Aide equipment. Licensing Requirement Unencumbered North Carolina RN License Valid NC Driver’s License Working Conditions and Environment Nurse Aide Courses are taught at both the SCC Jackson Campus & Macon Campus. Faculty will be assigned to a campus based on logistical criteria. Equipment Operation Able to operate and demonstrate all equipment required to perform the duties of a nurse aide. #J-18808-Ljbffr NC Community Colleges
