Employment Law Partner | Benefits & Compensation Highly competitive, revenue-driven partner compensation structure based on portable business, collections, and practice contribution Opportunity to transition an existing employment law practice or explore a potential small firm merger Retain significant autonomy over your clients, practice, and business development Established infrastructure, administrative support, and operational resources Dedicated marketing, branding, and business development support to help expand your book of business Access to a broader network of attorneys and complementary practice areas for cross-referrals Opportunity to grow your employment law practice without the overhead and administrative responsibilities of running your own firm Entrepreneurial, collaborative culture without unnecessary bureaucracy Long-term opportunity to build and lead an expanding Employment Law practice Employment Law Partner | Requirements & Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Significant experience in employment law, including litigation, counseling, or both Established employment law practice with a transferable book of business, ideally $350K+ annually Current law firm partner, solo practitioner, boutique firm owner, or senior attorney with an established client base Experience representing employers, executives, employees, or a combination of clients Demonstrated ability to originate business and maintain long-standing client relationships Ability to independently manage sophisticated employment law matters and provide strategic legal counsel Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in expanding an established practice Open to exploring a lateral partnership, practice integration, or potential small firm merger Employment Law Partner | Preferred Background & Skills Established relationships with corporate clients, business owners, executives, or individuals requiring employment-related legal services Experience representing management-side clients, plaintiff executives, or both Strong background in employment litigation, workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, executive compensation, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour matters Experience advising businesses on employment policies, regulatory compliance, employee relations, and workplace risk management Experience operating a solo practice, managing a boutique law firm, or leading an employment law practice group Background with an AmLaw firm, mid-sized firm, employment law boutique, or independently operated practice Interest in leveraging a larger firm's resources to expand an existing client base Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities involving corporate transactions, commercial litigation, intellectual property, franchise, and other complementary practice areas Experience mentoring or managing associates is a plus Employment Law Partner | Day-to-Day Responsibilities Transition and continue managing your existing employment law practice within a larger, supportive platform Maintain and expand relationships with your established clients while developing new business opportunities Advise employers, executives, and other clients on employment-related legal matters Oversee employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation disputes Manage negotiations, mediations, depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, executive compensation agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies Counsel businesses on employment compliance, workplace investigations, employee relations, and risk management Collaborate with attorneys across complementary practice areas to provide comprehensive legal services and create additional opportunities for clients Leverage the firm's marketing, operational, and business development resources to grow your practice Help shape the continued expansion of the firm's Employment Law practice Ready to Grow Your Employment Law Practice Without Building Everything Yourself?
