Medical Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in the MSO‑HCA South TX Physician Group, ensuring high quality, efficient care for all patients. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs. Set up and maintain exam and treatment rooms, preparing and sterilizing instruments and managing supplies. Administer injections, assist with lab testing and phlebotomy. Assist physicians with pre‑operative preparations for minor surgeries and physicals. Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals. Qualifications One year of medical assisting or direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting. Medical Assistant Certification required (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, ABR‑OE). Recent graduates must obtain certification within 60 days of employment. Candidates without certification must obtain within one year of hire. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy clinical environment.
