Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Trauma – Georgia

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Assigned shifts as needed; block scheduling not available. Shift assignments will be determined based on unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-acuity medical surgical trauma floor with diverse and challenging patient population
• Patient case mix includes surgical recovery, trauma patients, gunshot wounds, and spinal cord injury care (quadriplegic and paraplegic patients)
• Patient ratio of 5:1 with strong support staff including nursing techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries on night shifts
• EPIC electronic medical records system utilized facility-wide
• Structured handoff process with ED nurses and admitting unit for optimal continuity of care
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical trauma or medical surgical specialty required

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license or eligibility for compact state licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical trauma, medical surgical, or related specialty
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts based on unit scheduling needs
