Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accounting Manager: - Lead, maintain, and enhance standard costing systems across complex manufacturing operations. - Evaluate current costing methodologies and develop a roadmap for continuous improvement. - Partner with plant and production teams to analyze cost performance and identify opportunities for improvement. - Support ERP optimization initiatives and ensure alignment between costing processes and system functionality. - Oversee inventory costing, variance analysis, forecasting, and operational reporting. - Mentor, develop, and coach the cost accounting team. Qualifications for the Cost Accounting Manager: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Operations Management, or related field. - 6+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. - Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and ERP systems. - CMA certification preferred or interest in pursuing certification.
