Job Description

MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The technologist will work in a fast-paced acute care environment, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for procedures, administering contrast when required, starting IVs, maintaining imaging protocols, and documenting patient information in the EMR.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Current ARRT (MR) Certification
• Current BLS Certification (AHA)
• Previous experience operating GE 1.5T MRI scanners is required
• Experience with Epic EMR and PACS preferred
• Must be comfortable starting IVs for contrast studies
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient care
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available for call, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures following departmental protocols
• Screen and prepare patients for MRI examinations
• Operate and maintain GE MRI equipment
• Start IVs and administer contrast as ordered
• Ensure patient safety and monitor patients throughout procedures
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Accurately document procedures in Epic EMR
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and the healthcare team
• Maintain MRI safety standards and infection control practices
