Program Managers in LUK’s Residential Services oversee direct care staffing, program maintenance and supplies, and program and client funds to ensure consistent, high quality trauma-informed care for DCF-involved youth. This position works in collaboration with clinicians, nurses, case managers and specialists to implement the program’s treatment and behavioral management models and to uphold the agency’s mission and vision. The Program Manager ensures that direct care staff support and promote the overall safety, permanency, and well-being of the residents, while adhering to agency, funder, and licenser expectations.

The qualified candidate will preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or closely related field. Candidates must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience and 3 years of residential experience. Excellent communication and the ability to work as part of a team. LUK provides training in our treatment and behavioral support model, effective supervision, and agency policies and practices.

This is a full-time position located in Fitchburg, Ma. Work will take place within the therapeutic milieu and will include community-based travel. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 9-5 pm with flexibility to meet  program needs. Occasional evening shifts will be required during the initial orientation period to ensure robust training across all shift. Bilingual/bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Include:

Direct Care Oversight

·         Manage direct care staffing, including hiring, supervision and performance evaluation

·         Train shift supervisors and assigned shift leads in shift responsibilities, reporting and documentation

·         Establish recreational and milieu schedules reflective of client needs

·         Review all direct care documentation and ensure direct care staff comply with all documentation requirements

·         Maintain daily staff schedule to meet MAP, minimum ratio and staffing pattern requirements.

·         Monitor direct care staff compliance with licensing, contract, and agency standards.

·         Participate in all licensing and contract reviews, meetings, and investigations.

·         Remain current in all direct care required trainings and certifications.

·         Ensure adequate direct care coverage across all residential programs by participating in the Division’s PM on-call rotation, including on-site support when needed

·         Facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings

PROGRAM MAINTENANCE AND SUPPLIES

·         Ensure program and vehicle cleanliness and oversee maintenance and repair requests

·         Support the overall safety of staff and residents by completing assigned fire drills, submitting facility checklists, and posting up to date evacuation plans.

·         Oversee program menus to ensure compliance with required nutritional standards and dietary restrictions.

·         Oversee all program expenditures for household supplies, recreational activities, and client needs according to finance department requirements.

COLLABORATE IN YOUTH TREATMENT

·         Participate in the youth/family’s multidisciplinary team

·         Participate in client referral review, intake and discharge

·         Model expertise in the program’s treatment model and behavioral support model including the ARC framework, prevention strategies, and crisis management response.

·         Participate in the Residential Services Division’s Continuous Quality Improvement processes

·         Participate in Division and Agency-wide meetings and trainings as assigned

·         Gain an understanding of and commitment to LUK’s Mission, Vision, and Values and provide congruent services

·         Other duties as assigned to ensure stable programming across the division.

Job Location:
The program manager will work in Fitchburg. Reliable transportation is required. This position does not allow for a hybrid/remote schedule.
