Physical Therapist

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files. Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care. Communicate with physicians and other personnel to ensure quality patient care. Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc. Ensure patients are comfortable and answer questions when necessary. Work closely with scheduling and patient follow-up. Possess computer skills necessary to complete job requirements, such as typing and familiarity with EMR systems. Make independent decisions regarding patient care. Be involved in business marketing and referral processes when necessary. Follow HIPAA policies and procedures. Be familiar with billing policies and procedures regarding various payment sources. Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services. Be physically mobile, including a combination of sitting, walking, and standing for 8-10 hour workdays. Travel is not expected for this position. The position requires continually walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving during working hours. The employee must be safety-conscious and alert during patient interactions. Participate in training regarding privacy policies and share relevant information accordingly. Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
