HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER I - California State Prison- Los Angeles County (LAC)

Position Overview Health Program Manager I at California State Prison, Los Angeles County (LAC) in Lancaster, CA. Position number: 027-213-8427-XXX. Limited term position that may be extended or become permanent. Responsibilities Supervise a small technical/professional unit performing quality management and compliance duties. Develop and oversee a well-functioning health care performance management system at the institution. Coordinate a network of quality improvement committees that oversee improvement activities. Establish a performance measurement and evaluation system, including an annual improvement plan featuring highest-priority improvement initiatives. Apply quality improvement tools and techniques to achieve performance objectives. Prepare and implement the initial local action plan, including implementation of the Department’s licensed health care beds. Coordinate activities to achieve and maintain licensing, certification, and accreditation of the institution. Ensure compliance with applicable quality-of-care standards, regulations, and public laws. Maintain communication with the Health Program Manager III and other senior supervisors. Additional Information Effective July 1, 2025, personnel will be subject to the Personal Leave Program 2025, which may reduce base salary by 3% and provide 5 leave credits monthly through June 2027.
