Scope of work Provides quality education, counsel, and support to clients and their significant others regarding diabetes self-care. Documents the education process, patient information and clinical recommendations according to department/program/regulatory guidelines, and measures outcomes to maximize continuity of care between settings. Participates in projects related to area of specialty and the development/revision of procedures/policies, educational materials/guidelines, educational programs. Collaborates with and serves as a resource for other health professionals to promote delivery of quality services and patient education within the institution as well as the community. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing or related healthcare field Preferred Master's Degree 3 years of recent, relevant clinical experience including prior teaching experience with adult clientele Required LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan required or CRT-Registered Dietitian (RD) - CDR Commission on Dietetic Registration required CRT-CPR - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required CRT-Diabetes Educator (CDE) - NCBDE National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators 3 Years required How Corewell Health cares for you Comprehensive benefits package to meet your financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
