Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Albuquerque, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. At Allied Universal, our Security Officers monitor and patrol a busy retail location, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting customers and staff with clear communication and courteous service. In this unarmed patrol role, you will complete routine rounds, respond to site needs, and bring our agile, reliable, and innovative approach to every shift, with a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity leading the way.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized behavior.
- Monitor for theft-related concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity, and communicate with store leadership and emergency personnel when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
