About the Employer

Our client is an established and growing independent accountancy and business advisory firm operating across Central Scotland. They provide a broad range of services including accountancy, business advisory, insolvency, and wealth management to owner-managed businesses, SMEs, larger organisations, and private individuals.

The Opportunity
We are supporting our client in the appointment of an Accounts Assistant to join a growing and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of SME clients while developing technical expertise across accounts preparation, management reporting, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, and sole
  traders.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
  
• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns.
  
• Communicate with clients and HMRC.
  
• Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of two years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience preparing FRS 102 Section 1A company accounts.
  
• Part-qualified or qualified by experience.
  
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and IT skills.
