Cook PositionJoin the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Cook!As a Cook at MercyOne, you will prepare high quality, safe foods for staff, visitors, patients, customers, and physicians. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of MercyOne.What You'll Do:Prepares food according to guidelines.Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.Operates, cleans, and sanitizes equipment.Supplies high quality and attractive foodAssists supervisor in ordering JIT foods/supplies.Schedule:Full-time, 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)Varied shifts based on departmental needsWeekend and holiday rotation requiredGeneral Requirements:Requires the ability to read, write, and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing their job dutiesMinimum of 1 year food service experience or a combination of formal education and experience beyond high school.Intermediate language, intermediate math, intermediate reasoning ability.Ability to maintain a professional positive image and to work effectively with the public.Ability to maintain a fast pace of work.Education:High School diploma preferred but not required.Colleagues of MercyOne Health System enjoy competitive compensation with a full benefits package and opportunity for growth throughout the system!At MercyOne, health care is more than just a doctor's visit or a place to go when you're in need of medical attention.
