Product Lead, Peptide Therapeutics

Basecamp Research

Basecamp Research seeks a Product Lead for Peptide Therapeutics to own the peptide platform as a commercial product. The role bridges internal science teams and business development, driving market strategy, target product profiles, and portfolio decisions for peptide-based therapeutics.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain rigorous competitive and market intelligence across peptide segments
Author target product profiles specifying load-bearing properties and evidence thresholds
Conduct structured voice-of-customer work with pharma R&D leaders and synthesize findings
Define stage gates and go/no-go criteria for peptide programs with clear recommendations
Decide which platform capabilities become licensable products based on evidence and strategic priorities

Requirements

Deep knowledge of peptide therapeutics landscape, indications, and modalities
Experience with competitive intelligence and market analysis in biotech
Track record translating customer requirements into product strategy
Familiarity with deal structures and platform licensing in pharma partnerships
Ability to define and defend product criteria and go/no-go decisions
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across science and business teams
