We’re currently seeking Sushi Cooks with a passion for their craft to join our kitchen team. What You’ll Do: Prepare a variety of high-quality seafood, vegetables, and sushi menu items with precision and speed Execute sushi preparation methods with consistency Portion, season, marinate, and prepare ingredients according to JRDN recipes and plating standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at your station and throughout the kitchen and sushi station Restock line stations and prep ingredients to ensure smooth service Follow closing and prep checklists accurately and assist in kitchen shutdown Work as a team to ensure timing, consistency, and exceptional presentation What We’re Looking For: Experience: Minimum 2 years in a kitchen or sushi prep line (upscale, high-volume preferred) Certifications: Valid San Diego Food Handler’s Card (or willingness to obtain one after hire with company support) Communication: Be a clear, respectful communicator in a busy team environment Endurance: Able to stand for long periods and lift and carry up to 40 lbs Skillset: Ability to follow printed recipes, plate specifications, and safety protocols Professionalism: Clean, organized, and compliant with Health Department hygiene standards Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays Why You’ll Love It Here: Competitive hourly pay + tips Paid sick time after 90 days Flexible scheduling Discounts at all Eat, Drink and Sleep venues located in California and Arizona Access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) A gorgeous oceanfront kitchen setting Ready to Roll With Us?
