Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Services Department at our skilled nursing facility in Nebo, NC. The DON will be responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This leadership role requires a strong regulatory background, excellent management skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional person-centered care.

Director of Nursing Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the Nursing Services Department to ensure quality care and compliance.

• Oversee daily operations, staff performance, and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Participate in admissions decisions, management team meetings, QAPI, and facility committees.

• Supervise nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and budget compliance.

• Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop nursing staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, physicians, consultants, and families to ensure resident well-being.

• Lead infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Assist in survey preparation, compliance, and plan of correction processes.

• Serve as Administrator designee when needed.

• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.

Director of Nursing Qualifications:

• Current RN license in North Carolina (unrestricted).

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience in nursing.

• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, nursing practices, and clinical compliance.

• Current CPR certification .

• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
