The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville is seeking qualified applicants to join our Facilities Management team. The position is classified as Maintenance Worker II in accordance with the terms set forth with Local Union No. 95-95A International Union of Operating Engineers. Our Facilities Management Department is responsible for maintaining all facilities on our beautiful campus. Employees work year-round and perform many adjacent functions, including clearing snow from walkways, making sure building utilities are working properly, and maintaining the landscaping and flowerbeds on campus.

Job Summary: Responsible for the general and craft maintenance of the residence halls, operation of University equipment, preventive and scheduled maintenance to support special events, projects, conferences, planned utility outages and activities sponsored by individuals/groups using the campus facilities.

Essential Functions: Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

• Keep campus buildings running smoothly through general maintenance, repairs, and hardware upkeep.
• Care for campus grounds, including mowing, trimming, mulching, and seasonal landscaping.
• Handle snow and ice removal, by machine and by hand, to keep the campus safe in winter months.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Support campus events and planned outages with a flexible schedule.
• Work at heights up to 50 feet, lift more than 50 pounds, and work indoors, outdoors, and in confined spaces as needed.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Three years of experience with related building systems, and a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Ideal candidates would have additional experience in building maintenance, trades, or facilities operations beyond the minimum requirement, or completion of a trade/vocational program in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).

Physical Effort: Heavy physical effort required. Requires extensive standing, moving, ascend/descend, bending, lifting, and/or carrying. May be required to move objects over 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
