Senior Coordinator, Global Programming Location: New York, NY (1515 Broadway - 100% Onsite, 5 days a week) Position Type: 12+ Month Contract Hours: Standard 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Requires occasional flexibility to accommodate meetings across global time zones) Position Overview The Senior Coordinator joins the Global Programming team to support both local and international teams in executing a multi-platform programming and content strategy. Acting as a central hub for cross‑functional collaboration, this role focuses on tracking, maintaining, and distributing critical components of the global content calendar. The ideal candidate is an incredibly detail‑oriented problem solver with a deep passion for entertainment, streaming habits, and media consumption trends. Key Responsibilities Program Scheduling & System Data Entry: Enter global content schedules into internal content management systems (CMS). Ensure the meticulous accuracy of content launch dates and track program changes. Calendar Management & Distribution: Maintain and distribute comprehensive internal planning calendars. Partner directly with regional and global stakeholders to source updates and communicate schedule shifts. Curation & Merchandising Support: Manage merchandising requests relating to metadata, thematic tagging, and featured placements on the platform. Utilize Airtable and JIRA ticketing systems to ensure upcoming content launches are prioritized and presented correctly. Rights & Compliance Liaison: Coordinate with Legal and Rights Management teams to track content rights and restrictions for global titles, ensuring critical compliance information is distributed to local teams. Reporting & Strategy Presentations: Support the Global Programming team with data collection and building content strategy assets for weekly and quarterly business review presentations. Asset Coordination: Assist in obtaining creative and promotional materials for upcoming programming blocks and ad‑hoc editorial projects. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Industry Experience: 2+ years of professional experience within the entertainment, media, or streaming industry is strictly required. Core Competencies: Direct experience in at least one of the following: content planning, program scheduling, content curation, digital/linear programming strategy, or streaming media workflows. Technical Toolkit: Strong proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and program scheduling tools. Exceptional skills utilizing Airtable, Microsoft Excel (for data management/manipulation), PowerPoint, and Google Suite. Quick adaptability to proprietary data management systems and ticketing workflows. Professional Attributes: High level of agility with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast‑moving environment. Strong independent multitasking skills paired with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications Hands‑on professional experience with JIRA for ticket tracking and workflow management.
