Position Overview Position Title: Analyst, Finance Location: Atlanta, GA Reports to: Manager, Brand Finance The Financial Analyst reports to the Manager, Brand Finance and partners closely with the Brand Marketing, Sales Planning, and Operations Finance teams to help drive profitable business growth. This role supports Brand Marketing and Brand Finance by delivering financial analysis and contributing to new product development initiatives. Additionally, the role contributes to forecasting and budgeting processes while providing comprehensive financial analysis across the full P&L. Specific Responsibilities Supports Brand Marketing with long‑range (12+ month) business and financial planning focused on profitable growth, brand strategy, portfolio optimization, and new product development initiatives. Partners with Brand Marketing, Brand Finance, Sales, Operations, and R&D throughout the new product development process by supporting financial modeling, pricing analysis, volume forecasting, and profitability assessments for innovation projects. Support post‑mortem analyses to evaluate product performance against forecasts and identify key business insights and improvement opportunities. Assists with monthly and quarterly financial close activities, including variance analysis, reporting, and preparation of management commentary. Tracks Advertising & Promotion (A&P) actuals versus forecast and budget, providing timely analysis of variances, risks, and opportunities to support effective spending management. Demonstrates strong ownership, attention to detail, and accountability while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Key Qualifications Strong analytical skills Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business 0 – 3 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in Consumer‑Packaged Goods (CPG) Proficiency in MS Office applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), computer literate Experience with SAP and Oracle/Hyperion planning systems strongly preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Self‑motivated in achieving goals and completing routine tasks Ability to work as part of a team and interface with others across all levels of the organization Newell and its Business Units are Equal Opportunity Employers and comply with applicable employment laws.
