Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact on young learners by providing essential psychological services within an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about student well-being and supporting academic success in PreK through 8th-grade populations. Candidates will work closely with educators, administrators, and families to address academic and behavioral needs—and help create a nurturing environment for students.

Key Qualifications:

Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology required
Current and active Louisiana Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist
Previous experience with PreK-8 populations strongly preferred
Able to obtain district background check and fingerprint clearance promptly
Strong communication, consultation, and report-writing skills
Comfortable working in-person and open to virtual assignments if requested

Responsibilities Include:

Conduct psychoeducational assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
Participate in intervention planning, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary teams
Provide direct individual and group counseling services to students
Consult with teachers, staff, and parents on student interventions and behavior plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district requirements
Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral growth through evidence-based practices

This assignment begins June 1st and concludes July 16th, with flexible part-time hours Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The role is based at Broadmoor Elementary, with a manageable caseload focusing on PreK-8 students. Virtual/VOCO options may be available if preferred.
