Radiology Tech - Mammography Tech

Mammography Technologist

Minimum of 1 year of experience required; community hospital experience preferred.

ARRT (R) certification required.

BLS certification preferred.

Compact state license must be in hand at submission.

References: 2 references covering 1 year (within last 3 years) required during compliance/pre-start.

Candidate must disclose prior work at any relevant facility with location and dates.

Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms.

Conduct biopsy procedures and needle localization (preferred but not required).

Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Operate imaging equipment and ensure quality of imaging studies.

Document all patient care and procedure details in the electronic medical record system.

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Travelers may be expected to float between nearby partner facilities.

Requests for time off must be submitted upfront during the submittal process; post-submittal/time-off requests may not be granted.

Average completion of modules required pre-start is approximately 16 hours.
