Manufacturing Operation Co-Op

Johnson & Johnson seeks an engineering co-op student for a full-time, year-long manufacturing operations role in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. The position involves supporting process engineering projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing operations while maintaining compliance with GMP and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects and programs of low to medium complexity
• Assist with process optimization to improve output, throughput, and reduce waste
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for operational issues
• Participate in quality non-conformance activities and process/equipment validations
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams on continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Biomedical Engineering
• Completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework at accredited university
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Permanently authorized to work in U.S. with no visa sponsorship needed
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and manufacturing processes preferred
