Senior Assistant Business Administrator - Chemical Engineering - (496542 )

Department: ChemicalEngineering Salary: 43,000 - 48,900 Description : Assists the Business Administrator with the day-to-daymanagement of budgetary, financial, personnel and administrativefunctions for a college. Provides financial accountability and ensures compliance withState and university guidelines by functioning as certifyingsignature authority. Manages the monthly reconciliation of accounts and generatesmonthly financial and budget reports for departments andcenters. Administers personnel and payroll activities to includereconciliation of payroll records and salary reallocationprocess. Assists department staff with personnel issues and maintainspersonnel files. Participates in the development of the annual budgets. Trains and provides guidance to departmental staff regarding theuse of university forms and the application of university andcollege policies and procedures. Supervises support staff and student workers as assigned in thecentral business office and/or Dean's Office. Develops and maintains informational databases for thecollege. Represents the college on behalf of the Business Administratoras required. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Experience will be considered in lieu ofeducation. Education will be considered in lieu ofexperience. MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical andpractical aspects of an analytical, technical or professionaldiscipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professionaldiscipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtainedthrough a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a collegeor university or an equivalent in-depth specialized trainingprogram that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed.
