Overview As a Purchasing Agent supporting M.C. Dean’s growing businesses, you will act as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing. You will work closely with core Program/Project teams to manage high‑visibility, high‑value programs, applying program and project management skills to ensure timely and efficient execution of our portfolio of projects. Responsibilities Act as a key liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders. Work closely with Program/Project teams to manage high‑visibility and high‑value programs. Participation in bidding phase: procurement planning, understanding contract specs, sourcing vendors, developing RFPs, analyzing quotes, negotiating agreements, developing procurement plans, and managing post‑award implementation. Transition bid‑phase documents and knowledge to project teams and engage in procurement planning and execution. Capture and communicate market intelligence across projects and programs. Incorporate current market conditions into procurement plans (pricing trends, lead times, best‑value opportunities, alternative products, evolving compliance). Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules. Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Relevant purchasing experience sourcing and negotiating contracts with OEMs, construction or specialty trade subcontractors, and fabricators. Proven written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Excel. Familiarity with accounting principles.
