Job Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of freight between facilities, ports, rail yards, warehouses, and customer locations. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely deliveries, compliance with regulations, and high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels across drayage, rail, and OTR operations Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions across logistics functions Coordinate and schedule shipments, including pickups and deliveries Dispatch drivers and manage daily load assignments to ensure on-time performance Track and monitor shipments using TMS and port/rail systems (e.g., EDI, terminal portals) Communicate with drivers, steamship lines, terminal operators, and customers to provide real-time updates Manage appointment scheduling at terminals and warehouses Troubleshoot delays, including port congestion, equipment shortages, or traffic issues Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and delivery statuses Assist with invoicing, rate confirmation, and cost controls Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, turn times, and driver utilization Provide cross-functional support during peak volumes, capacity shortages, or service disruptions across drayage, rail, and OTR divisions Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or drayage operations preferred Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) Time management and prioritization skills Customer service mindset Omaha Track, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.
