School Speech Language Pathologist - Urbana, IL

This position is tailored for a bilingual (Spanish) Speech-Language Pathologist holding CCC credentials, with services needed for the school year starting around August 11th or 12th and wrapping up by May 28th (contingent on emergency days). You'll work with a diverse group of students from early childhood through 8th grade, focusing on both bilingual and monolingual caseloads. There's potential for contract renewal for the following school year based on district needs.


Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid CCC-SLP certification
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) skills required
• Experience working in school settings highly preferred
• Strong commitment to individualized student support and family collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
• Deliver therapy to a caseload likely including 10-15 bilingual (Spanish) students and a varying number of monolingual students, scaling up to a maximum of 50 if full-time
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student success
• Document interventions and outcomes according to school and legal standards
