Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical, Med Surg

Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical and clinical evaluations Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge planning, and follow-up care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii or compact eligibility if applicable) Minimum 1 year of acute care or Med Surg experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment Experience in Medical Surgical or acute care hospital settings preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred BSN preferred Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in providing direct nursing care, performing comprehensive patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans in a medical-surgical unit.
