Lead / Senior Attorney - Debt Recovery Litigation

What You’ll DoManage state-specific litigation workflows and litigation forms.Conduct document review and discovery.Execute documents requiring the Attorney’s signature.Communicate with the Managing Attorney and clients to discuss details of casesAssist in responding to litigation-specific components of all client auditsMonitor relevant legal rules, regulations, statutes, and case lawConduct research and analysis of legal problemsAnalyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedentsPrepare and file legal documentsManage and resolve collection litigationWork with Pro Se litigants, opposing counsel, or other interested parties to settle files throughout the litigation processOversee and interact with outside collections and defense counselSupport corporate compliance with laws and regulations governing debt collection and related activitiesMinimum QualificationsActive law license in the listed state of reference. (California)5-7 years of civil litigation experience; debt collection experience strongly preferredMinimum 2 years in a leadership roleDemonstrated case analysis ability and a track record of proven settlement skillsDemonstrated ability to teach, train, coach, and mentorProficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPointProficient in internet and online researchAbility to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, scanner, and computerEffective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usageAbility to multi-task and manage time effectivelyExcellent organizational skills with an eye for detailsAbility to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require itAbility to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competenciesAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to represent the company in various forums to foster the desires and image of the company in the communityBenefitsEligible for medical, dental, vision, and company-paid life insurance on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.401(k) with employer match.Type: direct hire
