Informs carriers for freight pick-up and ensures shipments are routed appropriately.**Essential Job Functions***The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent **may perform some or all** of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.** Coordinates and execute shipping schedules with customers, suppliers or other key stakeholders* Confers with Operations and Scheduling to ensure coordination of product completion and shipments on a timely basis* Assesses and executes transportation options for most cost-effective routing* Resolves outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders* Maintains daily yard check and PM schedule for trailers* Assists with waste tracking and disposal* Prepares business reports as needed* Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge**Education & Experience*** High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree desired* Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** Knowledge of and ability to understand organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing and logistics processes* Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the manufacturing of customer orders and delivery of finished products* Ability to effectively manage the business relationship with the transporters of raw materials and finished products.* Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local, regional and national distribution of inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods* Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle and logistics supply chain* Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant and warehouse facility**Physical Requirements & Work Environment*** Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting* Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.* Frequent walking/standing required*The expected salary range for this position is $49,233 to $61,541 annually.
