Party Host

The party host is responsible for the day-of oversight of birthday parties and other youth events. The host's primary responsibility is to ensure the event space is open and ready, greet the client and be available to assist the client as needed during the event.

Essential functions include unlocking the party space and arranging the equipment, tables & chairs as requested, assisting the party client with set-up, as requested, greeting party attendees and ensuring any required forms are completed, reviewing the event schedule and providing support as requested, periodically checking-in with the client, taking care of any injuries, incidents or messes, contacting the appropriate individuals and completing forms, if necessary, ensuring the party ends on time and performing clean-up duties as instructed.

Working conditions require the ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 years old, prior customer service or party experience preferred, and prior experience leading games and activities with children preferred.

Skills, knowledge & abilities include being able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers of various ages, working independently with little supervision, and possessing sound judgment.
