Manual Machinist – Bridgeport Mill & Engine Lathe Pay: $20–$23 per hour depending on experience This position is for experienced machinists who have hands‑on experience operating manual milling machines and engine lathes in a machine shop environment. Applicants with only CNC machining experience or classroom training will not be considered. Requirements Experience operating manual milling machines such as Bridgeport mills Experience operating manual engine lathes Ability to read blueprints and machining drawings Experience measuring parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Reliable transportation to work Responsibilities Set up and operate manual milling machines and engine lathes Machine metal components according to blueprints and specifications Measure parts to ensure proper tolerances and quality standards Select cutting tools and machining methods for production tasks Maintain safe operation of machining equipment Work Environment This position operates in a machine shop environment working with manual machining equipment, cutting tools, and precision measuring instruments.
