Unit Secretary/Monitor Technician

Job Summary: Performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining records in a hospital nursing unit. Working under the general direction of Nursing and Medical Staff, monitors, evaluates and documents cardiac rhythm readings.

Shift: Nights
Hours: 7:00pm-7:00am
Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- Basic typing skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of medical abbreviation and terminology.
- Effective communication skills.
- Successful completion of the Basic Dysrhythmia Course and annual competency exam.
- Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring equipment.
- Ability to sit for long periods/shift.
- Direct patient contact for lead placement.
Education Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent required.
License/Certification/Registry: Basic Arrhythmia Certification preferred.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources. Minimum rate: $17.00
