Product Cost Analyst

SUMMARY

The core role of a PCA is to gather cost data from all areas to build up a cost relative to a bill of material. The PCA is responsible for building a financial model and complete an analysis to reach a recommendation of a sell price based on history, market status, and financial metrics among others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare manufacturing cost estimates and sell price quotations on future products and engineering changes for current products
• Prepare and analyze detailed business models to support leadership in developing pricing strategies and making sound business decisions.
• Provide all required customer deliverables for quotes, such as customer piece price and tooling breakdowns
• Monitor program financials established at time of original quote, from program inception until program completion, to ensure it meets or exceeds expected financials metrics
• Active participant in pricing strategies to win business
• PCA is a valuable business partner, who works with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and assembly departments to identify and reduce product cost
• Prepare and maintain Sales Forecast/Budget for responsible products. Analyze and explain variances.
• Complete other assignments as received

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance required. Finance preferred
• Minimum of two years of related work experience required
• Experience with Excel required - Pivot tables, goal seek, etc.
• Strong financial/analytical skills required - Make vs. buy decisions, net present value, etc.
• Strong communication skills required - Collaborative work environment, and presentations in front of executives
• Manufacturing, assembly, and/or tooling knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of financial statements, financial ratios and financial project performance metrics
