This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of TMT Construction Manager, we'll count on you to:Maintain accurate daily record of construction site activity and produce required reports on progress, safety, quality, permit compliance, schedule and budget status.Review construction submittals including shop drawings and pay applicationsPrepare, issue and negotiate Change OrdersReview and analyze baseline and updated construction schedulesCoordinate with other project team members including the Owner, Engineer, and ContractorWork individually or supporting more-senior staff on larger, more complex projectsAssist with the verification of subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspectionsPerform routine assignments requiring application of spreadsheets, databases and scheduling softwareCoordinate with other project team groups such as design, procurement and accounting. Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsWork may require 50% to 100% travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections at the project site in Indiana. Possibility for Long term project assignments.Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE)Certified Construction Manager (CCM)Construction or design certificationsAbility to interpret construction schedulesExperience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software, Google work space and web-based collaboration software for the exchange of documents.Eager to Learn and Ask Questions and Perform new duties as required.Exhibit professionalism with clientsStrong people skills and the ability to interact with the Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other project stakeholdersPreference given to local candidatesQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety Experience with Microsoft OfficeExperience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.What We BelieveHDR is our company.
